freeze-dried ground beef (cooked ground beef, salt, rosemary extract), freeze-dried cheddar cheese (pasteurized milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes, annatto [vegetable color]), freeze-dried red bell pepper, freeze-dried green bell pepper, salt, paprika, ground cumin, granulated garlic, granulated onion, oregano, black pepper, crushed red pepper, cayenne pepper

Tear open pouch at notch and remove oxygen absorber

Bring 6–7 oz of water to a boil and pour into pouch until contents are submerged (but not swimming)

Stir contents, seal, and let your meal rehydrate for 7–10 minutes (use caution: bag can get very hot)

Open bag, stir again, and enjoy!

Best Meals Around

I have been eating Keto/NSNG for a couple years and was looking for options for a recent section hike that supports my eating style. The Next Mile Meals did not disappoint. I had the Beef Taco, Italian Beef Marinara, and Deli Roast Beef. I had to cut my trip short due to severe weather, but looking forward to trying the chicken options next. You really don’t need carbs. 😁

The beef tacos were a welcome meal after four days of salami and cheese for dinner. All the Next Mike meals are filling and keep you energized for the days hike. I ate these meals for five of the ten days and was able to stay in ketosis the entire time. These meals will become part of my winter adventures as well.
